Look: Marcos’ nuclear energy plans get US support

MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s aspirations to power up the Philippines with nuclear energy gained support from United States Vice President Kamala Harris, who opened up talks regarding the matter during her first visit to Manila.

SPONSORED BY:
A readout from Harris’ office said the US has opened up negotiations on a civil nuclear cooperation agreement which will support the Philippines’ initiatives for energy security.

Once in force, the agreement would provide legal basis for the US to send nuclear equipment to the Philippines.

“The United States is committed to working with the Philippines to increase energy security and deploying advanced nuclear reactor technology as quickly as safety and security conditions permit to meet the Philippines’ dire baseload power needs,” said Harris’ office.

Jay Sonza chides journalists making huge issue of unannounced home visits by cops in civilian clothes

JP Soriano of GMA News took to Twitter to complain about the unannounced visit of police in civilian clothes in his house to ask journalists like him how they are doing and if there is a “threat” to his safety in the wake of the murder of radio block timer Percy Lapid.

SPONSORED BY:

JP Soriano’s tweet quickly went viral on Twitter, generating 10,500+ likes, 3,336 retweets and 902 quote tweets in just 2 days since posting and counting.

In a follow up tweet, JP Soriano clarified he is not making an issue of the PNP’s intention to help and secure his safety which is something he appreciates personally, but how the PNP managed to get his home address.

While it is true that JP Soriano’s tweet was popular among his Twitter followers, not all netizens are a fan or agree with his drama, including retired broadcaster, TV host and journalist Jay Sonza.

In a Facebook post, Sonza remarked that journalists in Metro Manila are cr@zy!

Why? Because they called on the Marcos government to ask for protection but when the government responded to their call and do what is proper like conducting background check via the PNP, they are angry!

Sonza defended the PNP’s action to pay a home visit to know the best way to help them. The police needs to study how they can best protect journalist, including but not limited to the immediate threat from their community, your pattern and association with possible threat.

Sonza can’t help but ask if there are things that should not be known to the police like skeletons in their closets?

Are they afraid the police will discover they have sugar mommy, sugar daddy and what not; member of the syndicate or allies with the communist; closet LGBTQ in real life; they have secret lives? Sonza asked.

Sonza rebuked journalists who are making a big issue of the PNP personnel doing their jobs and yet when something bad happen to one of their colleagues, they are quick to pin the blame on the government.

You may now read Jay Sonza’s tirade versus the journalist.

The police will study how they can best protect you, including but not limited to your immediate threat from your community, your pattern and association with possible threat.

Bakit sir/mam?

Influencer explains why she is defending Sandro Marcos: This is just to expose the ignorance, hypocrisy, and 'unselflessness' of some people.

As the Dilawans, even non-Dilawans had a field day on Twitter making their own version of Rep. Sandro Marcos’ now famous “piso is not weak” statement, social media influencer MJ Quiambao Reyes took up the cudgels on Sandro’s behalf.

Reyes offered 2 reasons why the PH peso is weak such as the PH is a net importer and the US Federal Reserve’s aggressive actions versus inflation.

SPONSORED BY:

Reyes lamented that some people would rather mock Sandro Marcos and the administration instead of trying to understand the situation and what they can do to help the country.

Reyes said these are the same “unselfless” people, if they have the means, would rather buy dollars and invest in the US instead of investing their money in the country to help the local economy. In other words, bunches of hypocrites.

Reyes said she is fine if people criticize Sandro Marcos for the staged photo ops in Singapore but not on his recent statement: re peso versus the dollar. She clarified she is not defending Sandro but to expose the ignorance, hypocrisy, and ‘unselflessness’ of some people.

You may now read MJ Reyes’ original FB post below.

The 🇵🇭peso is weak:

1) Because we import more and export less

2) Because of US Federal Reserve’s aggressive actions against inflation which made US $ stronger – consequently devaluing peso and other currencies.

3) Because some people would rather laugh at Sandro and bash him and this admin than try to better understand the situation and do what they can to help our country. The same “unselfless” people who, if they have the means, would rather buy more dollars and invest in US and spend their money abroad than help strengthen our peso or help boost our economy. Tsk!

P.S.

People can fairly criticize Sandro for his ‘staged’ photo ops sa SG and other matters, but not on his recent statement re: peso & dollar. I’m not here to defend him (as he does not need one naman). This is just to expose the ignorance, hypocrisy, and ‘unselflessness’ of some people. 😉

Did JP Enrile discourages Pinoy from taking on offers as Harvard Speakers in latest FB post? States some people overestimates their limitations

Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile, the ever outspoken legal luminary, does not disappoint his FB followers because despite his busy schedule, he still finds time to impart his wisdom to the reading public, be it on legal matters, politics or even personal opinion on burning issues of the day.

SPONSORED BY:

Speaking of personal opinion, JPE as his colleagues and even the media call him, talked about people who tends to bite more than they can chew, sort of in his latest FB post.

JPE remarked that some people tends to overestimate themselves. He said that these people should reflect on the proverb, which was later made part of a song that goes like this, “Fool rush in when angels fear to tread or walk.”

To give a hint to what he was alluding, JPE mentioned about Harvard and lecturing on esoteric subjects like ECONOMICS, especially at this time in history is no laughing matter, not even for renowned names in ECONOMICS such as Adam Smith and Keynes.

I had to ask Google what is the meaning of the word esoteric and this is what Mr. Google has to say – “ESOTERIC” means intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest.

In fairness to JPE, he did not name names but reading at the comments on his thread, netizens dropped their guesses who JPE was talking about.

Here are some of the comments of netizens.

One only needs to be unselfless to not overestimate their limitations. Ask mama leni what unselfless means, sa kanya galing yun, can’t wait for video lectures in harvard. Teleprompter and projector-prompter kawaykaway

Not to worry. The smart ones at Harvard will soon realize Leni is no economist.

You may now read JPE’s original FB post below.

Some people overestimate their limitations. They should always remember a proverb, which was later made a part of a song, that says, “Fools rush in when angels fear to tread.” Lecturing in Harvard on such esoteric subject as ECONOMICS, especially at this time in history, is no joke, not even for Adam Smith or Lord John Maynard Keynes.

This female broadcaster's mindset in viewing PBBM's actions like flying to Singapore to hobnob with business tycoons is a breath of fresh air

When social media woke up to the news on Sunday that PBBM flew again to Singapore to watch, as per report from major local news outlets, the F1 Grand Prix in the Lion City, critics had a field day making memes portraying the president as a spoiled brat party animal insensitive to the typhoon victims who has yet to recover from the devastation brought about by KardingPH and to the general public suffering from the skyrocketing prices of commodities.

SPONSORED BY:

Renato Reyes, the undisputed king of Philippine rally and street protest since time immemorial, was one of the loudest critics of PBBM on Twitter after learning of his Singapore weekend trip to watch F1 Grand Prix.

Reyes posted a series of tweets criticizing PBBM’s Singapore weekend trip. Here are some of his tweets ranting against PBBM.

Reyes began by drawing parallels to PBBM’s Singapore weekend trip to the Martial Law days of his father. In other words, making the 31 million voted him President to feel sorry for not listening to him and fellow anti-Marcos during the campaign period.

Reyes tweeted PBBM took a private jet and asked who paid for the trip. If it was lent by a private individual, he said this is graft. If it was government plane, then the taxpayers for the getaway. Either way, may mali.

Sensing blood, Reyes went hyperdrive in attacking PBBM, calling his jet-setting lifestyle incompatible with the Office of the President. Said the weekend gateway to Singapore to watch F1 race amid the economic crisis, in the aftermath of KardingPH and public debt breaching P13B is insensitive, unnecessary and irresponsible.

While Marcos critics looked at the Singapore F1 getaway of PBBM from the perspective of the Leftist lenses worn by Renato Reyes and the Dilawans, CJ Hirro, a broadcaster from Eagle News, offered a fresh perspective from her personal observation as host of events for companies owned by the country’s elites. She said until we understand how the rich and business tycoons, nothing will ever make sense with this President.

Of course, CJ Hirro pointed out one huge mistake of Malacanang at the end of her brief FB post.

You may now read CJ Hirro’s FB post to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth so to speak.

One of the things I learned hosting events for companies owned by the country’s elites is that nothing is ever just a weekend out or just a day of watching games with these people. Nothing is ever just a day of playing golf, nothing is ever just a dinner, or a night out. Anywhere doing anything with anybody is an opportunity to discuss and expand business. They’re all an opportunity to be seen, heard, and expand one’s network. Until we understand that, nothing will ever make sense with this president.

Having said all that, allowing pictures of the President in Singapore to leak before revealing details about the trip was a PR mistake.

Creative marketing coordinator makes brilliant explanation why ShopeePH chose Toni G over Kakampink-aligned celebrities as brand ambassador

Creative marketing coordinator makes brilliant explanation why ShopeePH chose Toni G over Kakampink-aligned celebrities as brand ambassador

This creative marketing coordinator isn’t buying Kakampinks justification they are cancelling Shopee not because Toni Gonzaga was hired as brand ambassador but the mass layoffs of employees.

SPONSORED BY:

Tio Moreno, social media influencer during his off time but works as a creative marketing coordinator can only laugh at the Kakampinks for running out of reasons, hence making them easy to refute.

Moreno sounded grateful the noisy Kakampinks making noise on Twitter against Shopee are mostly uninformed who just barked, barked without bothering to do research that Shopee’s international headquarters are shutting down due to global recession.

Moreno defended ShopeePH conducting mass layoffs because he said they are for-profit business not a charitable institution. They can’t keep paying people if they are not making profits.

Like any company. Shopee has business plans and what not. Budgeting is a process that does not happen overnight.

Moreno said Kakampinks guilt-tripping Shopee for spending millions on Toni G while mass laid off their people is shallow argument. He can only laugh at the wrong application of the cause and effect analysis on the Toni G saga.

But here’s the exciting part! Tio Moreno, the creative marketing coordinator, will knock some sense into the heads of Shopee’s critics blaming Toni G hiring as brand endorser for the mass layoffs of Shopee employees in the Philippines.

Please continue reading below for Tio Moreno’s explanation. Comment down below, in the FB page if you agree with him or not.

KAKAMPINKS are justifying that them cancelling Shopee is not because Toni G was hired as ambassador, but because Shopee is conducting mass layoffs.

These kakampinks are running out of reasons, making them quite easy to refute these days.

Because most of them are uninformed [this is their best asset], they failed to research about Shopee’s international headquarters shutting down due to the global economic downturn.

Shopee is still a for-profit business, not a charity.

They have all the rights to layoff employees if they need to since they own the company. Alangan naman magpa trabaho pa sila then they cannot pay their employees due to losses— so another problem na naman.

Shopee, being a company, has business plans and so forth. Budgeting is a process that takes time; it does not happen immediately. Marketing and Operating Expenses are not the same.

Hence, informing people that Shopee spent millions on Toni G then mass laid off their employees is a pretty shallow argument. It’s an incorrect use of cause and effect analysis.

As a creative marketing coordinator, I know exactly how businesses function. When we use “influencer marketing,” we really need to find someone whose market can help us getting more leads. Why would you hire an endorser who has no influence on the target prospects?

Admit it, KAKAMPINKS used a lot of celebrities to sell Atty. Leni Robredo during the recent elections, which resulted in a loss. That’s because they lack convincing power to persuade others to choose their product.

While Uniteam has a small number of celebrities, laos pa ang iba[mga unknown sabi ng kakampinks]. I believe Toni G is the only one who has shown strong endorsements.

If I were on Shopee’s marketing team, I would do the same. Toni G is supported by 31 million Filipinos, whereas “the others” have 15 million more or less—- and some of them have not subscribed to CANCEL CULTURE that’s why them boycotting the business doesn’t really sell.

Open letter from a UPian to the misguided UPians

Open letter from a UPian to the misguided UPians

Admit it. To non-UPians like me, when we hear the word UP (University of the Philippines) before Facebook and Twitter were invented, majority of us think they are activists and anti-government because of what we see on primetime news.

SPONSORED BY:

In my personal experience, that perception changed after I had a Facebook friend who happened to be a UP alumnus and asked him about it. He just laughed at me debunked my wrong perception of the UP students right then and there.

Speaking of UP, an open letter from a UPian addressed to what he called misguided UPians has been making the rounds on Facebook and I want to share this to netizens to help enlighten as many Filipinos as I can, that what we hear, read and watch on TV about UP are not all true.

You may now read the open letter below.

TO THE MISGUIDED UPians

Perhaps this is the opportune time for you to realize that you are not being sent to the premier university of the country to act as if you are intellectual dictators who lord over the Filipino people in their decisions.

The state sent you to the best university in the country for you to understand your fellow Filipinos and to craft something that will alleviate their lives.

You are/were government scholars for a reason: you should be the government arm that reaches forth to the poor so that they may feel that they are not being forsaken alone to wallow in extreme poverty. The state didn’t send you to school to fight the state back and overthrow the legitimate government.

It saddens me, therefore, to see you, U.P.ians, exhibited braggadocio on your education so-called and at the same time denigrated the masses and called them names, i.e., bobo, tanga, basura, etc.

The Filipinos recognize your superior education. Yes, you should be our leaders – leaders who would make the nation unite for success – not leaders who will destroy the country while you destroy yourselves in acting and believing an outdated evil ideology of communism thru bloody armed revolution.

Last election, you campaigned very hard and traveled far and wide in the name of “educating” the masses to choose your candidate, and/or convince and convert them to use violence against the very government that sent you to school.

You became so insensitive and detached from the reality on the ground. You thought the whole U.P. campus community was still with you. Hey, many of us are from U.P. too but we are not like you. Look at what happened to the U.P. Campus community last election. It voted for a candidate you loathed so much. It only says one thing: you have no influence and control over your fellow U.P.ians.

When your candidates were overwhelmingly rejected by the Filipinos, you threatened to walkout of your classes, defiantly rejecting the will of the people and acting like spoiled brats.

Do not use the University of the Philippines as a shield and protection of your skewed, violent, and bloody ideology.

Please rethink your position, ideology, and behavior before you will become totally irrelevant to the society.

The U.P. Campus community has vomited you already. They defiantly voted against your candidate.

Open letter to Greta Thunberg: Continue to campaign for your own advocacy and do not speak about anything you know absolutely nothing about

Filipinos, especially the 31 million Pinoys who voted PBBM in the last election are gnashing their teeth in social media after Greta Thunberg, the controversial international climate activist, was quoted saying there can be no climate justice under Marcos. Link here to read news article re Greta Thunberg statement on Marcos and climate justice.

SPONSORED BY:

As predicted, the anti-Marcos netizens welcomed Thunberg’s jab at PBBM and the Marcoses with, I imagined, celebratory dances.

Meanwhile, foreigner from the United Kingdom went out of his way to write an open letter addressed to Greta Thunberg expressing his disappointment at his fellow European.

Malcolm Conlan, a Brits married to a Filipina and a pro-Duterte and now Marcos supporter clarified in the open letter he has no issue whatsoever Thunberg trying to support the Philippines and her people regarding the issues of climate change, as he is very sure that this is within her expertise.

But as for Greta Thunberg having a lot to say about the PBBM and his government’s climate policy and the issue on Martial Law, Conlan was apparently disappointed at the Swede international climate activist for speaking out without an iota of idea of what she was talking, like Martial law and the Marcoses.

Conlan ended the open letter by leaving Thunberg with some words of wisdom – continue to campaign for your own advocacy and do not speak about anything that you know absolutely nothing about. Ouch!

You may now read Malcolm Conlan’s open letter below.

AN OPEN LETTER TO GRETA FROM A CONCERNED NETIZEN

FAO: Greta Thunberg

‘Climate Activist’

Dear Ma’am Greta Thunberg,

I hope you don’t mind me writing to you like this ma’am, but from what I have read on various news sites, you have been quoted as saying the following:

‘There can be no climate Justice under Marcos.

We stand with solidarity with the Martial Law victims seeking justice and the human rights defenders pursuing democratic rights of people and climate justice’.

With the greatest respect, how old are you?

These events which you have completely misunderstood happened long before you were even born!!! You say there could be no climate justice under Marcos?

Maybe you were asleep or blinded by ignorance during the UNGA where President Bongbong Marcos specifically addressed the issue of climate change in his recent speech? The President actually shares your concerns over the effects of climate change to the Philippines and her people.

I didn’t hear him mention you and call out the name ‘Thunberg’ at all anywhere in the speech. What gives you the right to not even address him by his proper title, the President of the Republic of the Philippines. Please have some respect for the Office of the President ma’am.

Also do you have any Filipino relatives or does anything that happens in the Philippines concern or affect you in anyway?

I, on the other hand do have Filipino relatives both here in the UK and the Philippines and of course I am therefore concerned, like you over the effects of climate change. However the difference between you and me is that I am always polite and respectful to all I address and meet, unlike the manner in which you have chosen to speak about President BBM and his family.

I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with you trying to support the Philippines and her people regarding the issues of climate change, as I am very sure that this is within your expertise.

However, I am not sure that you have any understanding whatsoever regarding the Marcos family or the Martial law era or reasons behind the declaration of Martial law?

SPONSORED BY:

So with only the greatest respect, I would ask that you continue to campaign for your own advocacy and do not speak about anything that you know absolutely nothing about.

Thanks so much and kind regards,

Malcolm Conlan
Social media advocate and supporter of the Philippines and her people.

CyberSecurity expert catches fake news of Kakampink-leaning FB page, says man in photo not Guatemalan President but UN Secretary General Antonio Gutierres

A Marcos admin-leaning influencer has called out a Kakampink-leaning FB page for a deceptive post by sharing two photos – the view on the UN Assembly participants during the speeches of two leaders, one view purportedly that of Guatemalan President Dr. Alejandro Giammetai and the other view belongs to President Marcos.

SPONSORED BY:

Mark Lopez, a pro-Duterte but now leaning towards the Marcos government, was apparently incensed because as pointed out by Manila Bulletin’s preeminent Cyber Security Analyst Art Samaniego Jr, the man on the wide screen and on camera wasn’t the Guatemalan President but UN Secretary General Antonio Gutierres.

Lopez quipped that because of the burning desire of PBBM’s critics to embarrass him, they need to resort to deception using imagery.

Lopez turned his attention to the Kakampinks who are sharing the photos and asked how do they feel after it turned out that the photos they share are fake. He can’t help but ask if they are part of the conspiracy? Otherwise, they are too stupid to fall for such chicanery.

You may now read Mark Lopez’s original FB post below.

Ito namang kakampink na Filipino Patriots na page, grabe sa panlilinlang.

Naglabas ng dalawang photo – yung view ng UN Assembly participants during the speeches of two leaders, kay Guatemalan President Dr Alejandro Giammetai, and yung same view nung kay President Bongbong Marcos.
