"Life imprisonment ang nangyari sa ABS-CBN" Cong. Defensor, sinagot si Karen Davila

Sa kanyang panayam kay ABS-CBN news anchor Karen Davila, sinagot ni Anakalusugan Party-list Rep. Mike Defensor ang patutsada na pinaytay daw ng kongreso ang Kapamilya network.

“This was not a death penalty. This is life imprisonment. ABS-CBN lives, the corporation lives. But as to the franchise, there were violations that were established, it’s very clear… ABS-CBN was not killed. Noong nakaraang linggo ay tinuldukan ng mababang kapulungan ng kongreso ang aplikasyon ng ABS-CBN para sa panibagong prangkisa. Sa botong 70-11 nanalo ang mga mambabatas na kontrang mabigyan ang Kapamilya network ng bagong prangkisa.

Ilang sa mga isyung naungkat sa nagdaang pagdinig sa kongreso ay ang hindi maayos na labor practices ng istasyon. Nasilip din ang tax avoidance scheme ng ABS-CBN kung saan nabisto na sobrang bababa na lang pala ang binabayarang buwis ng Kapamilya network.
