Sa isang social media post, ibinahagi ni Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO) Usec. Lorraine Badoy ang pahayag ni Alma Gabin tungkol sa ginagawa diumano ng mga makakaliwang kongresista sa pondo ng pamahalaan.
Si Gabin ay dating Education Secretary of Eastern Visayas Regional Party Committee (EVRPC) of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) / Secretary of Leyte Island Party Committee.
Ayon kay Gabin, ginagamit daw ng mga leftist congressmen ang pondo ng bayan para ipantustos sa mga programa ng kilusan ng mga komunista. Ilan sa mga pinangalanan niya ay ang Kabataan partylist at ang Makabayan Bloc sa kongreso
“Kabataan Partylist and other Makabayan bloc partylist are all CPP – led.
Their task falls under the CPP’s civil bureaucracy work whose main goal is to destroy the Philippines government from within.
Specifically by proposing “appropriate” house bills in favor to CPP program; accessing congressional fund/budget to fund CPP program both in the cities and countryside; and, alliance work and organizing of non-Makabayan congressman and staff,” sabi ni Gabin.
Si Gabin ay naaresto noong Hunyo 2020 sa isang bayan sa Leyte. Kasamang nasakote ni Gabin si Alden Dagohoy na residente ng Northern Samar. Si Dagohoy ay squad leader ng Abe Squad, Buhawi Platoon of SRC Emporium, isang unit ng New People’s Army (NPA) na nagsasagawa ng operasyon sa Northern Samar. Nakumpiska kay Gabin at Dagohoy ang isang .45 pistola, mga bala at mga subersibong mga dokumento.
Magugunita na hinamon ni PCOO Usec. Badoy ang mga miyembro ng Makabayan bloc na kundinahin ang mga kabalastugan ng NPA upang magbitiw siya sa pwesto. Pero hindi ito kinasahan ni Bayan Muna Congressman Carlos Zarate.
“She’s not in the position to make demands. Gusto lang niya i-divert ‘yung issue. We will not take this sitting down. “Di natin mapapalagpas ‘yan because she’s putting lives in danger,” boladas ni Zarate.
