Watch! UP Prof Clarita Claros humbles ABS-CBN News anchor who said they don't publicly endorse a candidate unlike owner of SMNI News?

International relations expert and TV anchor Sass Rogando Sasot posted on Facebook a blind item about an ABS-CBN News anchor declaring that they are unbiased because they don’t publicly endorse a candidate.

A quick search in Tiktok tells us that the radio host Sasot referred in the post is none other than Tony Velasquez of ABS-CBN and ANC.

The pronouncement that ABS-CBN per se is unbiased because they don’t publicly endorse a candidate occurred during the interview with UP Prof. Clarita Carlos.

In the video, Tony Velasquez introduced UP Prof. Claros ala Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. That did not go well because the latter immediately went at him for his statement that they are unbiased because blah, blah and that is the difference between ABS-CBN and SMNI. He said the owner/head of the network (Pastor Quiboloy) openly endorse a candidate, so how is that going to affect the debate?

Prof. Claros: The keyword is “openly”. I am glad you used that word. Because I’ve been content analyzing you guys and I count the number of minutes, microseconds that you indulged in XYZ candidates. And clearly, nakakiling kayo sa isang kandidato. So wag na tayo magmaang-maangan tungkol dyan, noh? Kasi ang isang iskolar tulad ko, nagcocontent analyze, nakikita yung trend nato. Openly maybe you are not doing it openly but you are doing it not openly. And that goes for the other networks. Makukuha mo yan sa content analysis eh, so let us not go there. So what do I care?

@vaughnivo1 Yung nakahanap ka ng katapat Tony Velasquez .Prof. Clarita Carlos lang sakalam. #smni #debate #bbmsara #bbm #fypシ #foryoupage #fyp ♬ original sound – Vaughn Ivo Estanislao Bonifacio

Let us read the comments of Sasot’s FB followers.

Yung parang sinabi mo sa babae publicly, hindi ko sya gusto pero all your actions say in love ka sa kanya. Ganun kayo kay Leni, ABS CBN. 

Real talk Mr. Tony Velazquez, is there any Filipino anywhere in the whole world who still believes that your network is unbiased? You may not have endorsed anyone publicly but everyone can smell the color of the stench from a mile away. Too bad your obvious bias didn’t help you get a new franchise when you first applied for it in 2014.

Have they forgotten that ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS? Alam na oy di kami obob!

You’ve been biased even if you don’t endorsed a presidential aspirant, the way you convey your news has always been biased.

We don’t publicly endorsed, we just put a lot of contents for our candidate.
