Dahil sa patuloy na paglaganap ng sakit, nagpasya ang Duterte Administration na magpatupad ng lockdown sa buong isla ng Luzon upang malabanan ang pagkalat ng covid-19. Kamakailan lang ay isinailalim na rin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte an gbuong bansa sa animn na buwang “State of Calamity”.
“I made a pronouncement last Thursday approving the placement of the National Capital Region under Community Quarantine. Itong other countries, because of the sensitivity of the Filipinos, eh maraming ano kasi, hindi magkaintindihan ang Task Force. They wanted it more acceptable — sa libro lang man. But actually in other contract — in other towns, countries, it‟s really a lockdown. So dito muna tayo. Papaano natin mapigilan ang contagion kung sige kayo labas nang labas tapos you mingle with the others? Nakita mo naman the crowded queues that are being created by „yung gustong sumakay.,” sabi ng Pangulong Duterte.
Tumulong na rin ang ilang pribadong kumpanya para malabanan ang covid-19. Ilan sa mga ito ay ang San Miguel Corp, SM at iba pa.
Sa isang social media post, napansin naman ng mamamahayag at dating ambassador na si Rigoberto Tiglao ang simbahan Katoliko. Tanong ni Tiglao, ano raw ang ginagawa ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines para malabanan ang pagkalat ng coronavirus? Nasilip din ni Tiglao ang diumano’y P20 bilyong shares ng simbahan sa BPI.
“WHERE IS THE CHURCH?
What are the CBCP Philippines, the Jesuits, Dominicans etc doing to help the country fight this virus and provide the poor with the food they need.Can’t the Archbishop of Manila sell some of his P20 billion shares in BPI to fund the war vs Covid?” sabi ni Tiglao.

it's not time for them to sell stocks, as the markets are very down. They have other resources to na pwede i tulong nila sa bansa if they wanted to....
