'Masuwerte kayo Nagpatupad ang DU30 Govt ng Quarantine! Dito sa City ko sa Iran, Wala!' - Filipina in Iran

Here in Iran we have 19,644 cases of COVID-19 and 1,433 deaths. Our hometown has 3 death records from COVID-19 and yet our city is not locked down nor we have a community quarantine. NOTHING. No checkpoints, no social distancing.

After a month of self isolation/ quarantine, I went out yesterday (wearing gloves & mask) with Shoaib to buy groceries. To my surprise, there’s still traffic, malls and restaurants are still open and operating and people are not even practicing social distancing! Like wtf. We’re almost on a 20k record and yet people seems like they don’t even care nor alarmed with the outbreak.
So if you feel bad or pissed about the enhanced community quarantine in the Philippines, consider yourself lucky because at least you know that the government is doing something to slow down the spread of the virus. Be grateful and be thankful!

Just help the government by staying inside your home! Don’t worry about food supplies because the government has a solution for that. Worry about getting the virus because there’s nothing we can do about that (for now). THERE IS NO CURE.
Ignorance excuses no one!

PS: 1 month ago we only have 1 case of COVID-19. Today is Persian New Year and we can’t even celebrate nor visit our family or accept guest inside our house.
PPS: This photo was taken 3 weeks ago. I wouldn’t bring my son outside in a situation like this if it’s not an emergency. But we have an appointment with his doctor because of his sprained ankle.
