Ayon sa pinakahuling tala ng kagawaran, umabot sa 58 ang mga gumaling sa covid-19 ngayong araw. Ang naitala naman mga nasawi ngayong araw ay nasa 14 lang.
Sa kabuuan, umabot na sa 353 ang bilang ng recoveries, habang ang mga yumao ay 349 ang kabuuang bilang.
Umabot na rin daw sa 38,108 ang ginawa nilang covid-19 testing. Ang 85.2 porsyento sa mga sumailalim sa pagsusuri ay lumabas na negatibo, habang 14.7 porsyento lang nag-positibo sa nasabing karamdaman.
Ilan sa mga desisyon na ipanatupad ng gobyerno para malabanan ang mabilis na pagkalat ng covid-19 ay ang pagsasailalim sa buong isla ng Luson sa enhance community quarantine. Kamailan lang ay pinalawig ng pamahalaan ang quarantine hanggang sa Ika-30 ng Abril.
“Provided, that all exemptions granted by the Office of the President or the IATF shall continue to be in effect for the duration of the extended ECQ… Provided further that such extension of the ECQ shall be without prejudice to the discretion of the President to relax the implementation of the ECQ in some local jurisdictions, or the granting of exemptions in favor of certain sectors, as public health considerations and food security may warrant,” sabi ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
Magugunitang pinuri ng World Health Organization (WHO) ang naging pasya ng Duterte Administration na magpatupad ng quarantine. Ito daw ang dahilan kung bakit naagapan ang dapat ay mas malakihang covid-19 outbreak.
“Philippines, because of the lockdown, we are not experiencing so-called large-scale community outbreak… What’s really important is to try to stay in this stage as much as possible, and if possible, to suppress… Even it is lockdown, it’s important for everyone to stay home, protect yourselves, and your family,… Second thing is even under the lockdown, infections might continue, so it’s very important to organize public health intervention such as tracing and identifying the contact,” ani WHO Western Pacific Regional Director Dr. Takeshi Kasai.
