Viral ngayon ang ginawa ni Pasay City Councilor Moti Arceo sa mga frontline health workers na gumagawa ng trabaho para malabanan ang covid-19.

Narito po ang social media post ng netizen na si Alexia Guevara tungkol sa insidente sa Pasay City Hall.
“So, a friend sent me this disturbing video from May 19 sa pasay city daw. Apparently, yung guy na nagvivideo ay city councilor sa Pasay–Moti Arceo.
Story behind– naabutan ni Councilor Arceo ang mga medtech ng Pasay Health na nagcconduct ng COVID-19 rapid testing sa Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall, following a directive from the City HR (naka-attach din dito yung memo as proof na approved ng HR ang date and venue). So syempre, yung mga medtech sumunod sa memo from the office and dumating sila sa venue and nag-prep ng lahat including yung covers and plastic sheets as protective gear.
Pero pagdating ni Councilor Arceo, he immediately went on badmouthing the healthworkers–he even went so far as to call them “infectious” (hindi ba to paglabag sa anti-discrimination against health workers?)
So naturally, may nagvideo sa kanya during the moment nung mismong pagdating niya pero after the incident and when the medtechs decided to file a legal complaint, tinalikuran lang sila ng Health Department ng Pasay (Cesar Encinares, head) and said, “wag niyo na lang dibdibin.” And now, all the people involved are scared to push through with a complaint kasi yung trabaho nila yung pwedeng mawala sa kanila.
And si Councilor Arceo naman, he even had the “presence of mind” to take a vid of himself berating the medtechs. As if naman na yung paggawa niya nun ay nacleanse na yung pagkakamali niya dahil he “owns up” to the act.
Nakakagalit lang na habang ang buong bansa nagsa-struggle pa sa public health at econ effects ng COVID-19, yung mga politician and people in position like Moti Arceo manage to get away with things like this. Yung #1 frontliners–healthworkers–ang minumura-mura niya when in fact, service yung ginagawa nila. Something that will benefit everyone. Kapag common people nagsabi ng isang bad thing or isang criticism re: gov’t response sa pandemic, huli agad and magdedemand pa ng public apology. Pero pag powerful ka, go lang. Speak your mind, ganun” sabi ni Guevara.
