This was how former LaSalle History professor Van Ybiernas opened his FB post to engage Pinoy netizens.

"Hahaha." Ybiernas simply laughed at the Opposition who has been demanding the Duterte admin to present its plan as the country continue to wrestle with the pandemic.

Ybiernas asked netizens whether they noticed the worn out question of the anti-Duterte?

Ybiernas, without hesitation, exposed the objective behind it.

Hahaha."

First and foremost, Ybiernas called this a deception because it is clear that the IATF have released a plan of action.

Second, Ybiernas said the basis of the critics in saying the Duterte admin have no plans is the number of infections. Once again, this is another deception from the part of the critics, Ybiernas argued. He went on to offer what he thinks will work in dealing the pandemic.

Ybiernas explained why his suggestion works in our neighboring Asian countries and why it won't work in the Philippine setting.

Ybiernas discussed the repercussion of the Filipinos refusal to accept the 'new normal'.

Ybiernas insisted 'social engineering' will work but it takes time for this to be accepted by Filipinos.

Third, the critics did not propose an alternative plans. Ybiernas said it is hard to tell if the plan they are asking is indeed present or just figment of imagination. The Opposition, Ybiernas reckoned, is looking for a new plan but they do not even know how the new plan looks like. What the critics know is to replace the President. However, there is no guarantee the President they want to replace President Duterte have new plan, just in case.

Ybiernas noted that the critics are merely repeating the demand for new plan to elevate the standing of their Presidential bet. In other words, ambition is the driving force behind the Opposition's demand for new plan or strategy from the government.

Fourth, Ybiernas called the concept of stopping a force of nature like the virus 'stupidity'. He said the force of nature cannot be stopped.

Ybiernas reiterated his earlier stance, which is, society must adjust because you cannot stop the force of nature.

Ybiernas, in a tone of resignation, said our countrymen refuse to adjust to the new normal.

Fifth, Ybiernas remarked that majority of Filipinos cannot handle the new normal or cannot adjust to the new normal.

Ybiernas further explained what he meant of the statement above.

In other words, Ybiernas hit the nail right on the head why Filipinos refuse to adopt the new normal.

"Paano sila lilipat sa new normal? Pinapatay ng new normal ang hanapbuhay nila."

"Ulit, PAANO MO PALILIPATIN SA NEW NORMAL ANG MGA TAONG WALANG KABUHAYAN DOON?" Ybiernas asked.

Ybiernas said this is the main culprit why Filipinos are taking a risk versus the virus.

Sixth, the government lacks the resources to make Filipinos shift to the new normal.

Hence, many Filipinos want to dwell in the OLD NORMAL.

Ybiernas went on to reveal why South Korea is winning versus the virus.

"Bakit tagumpay ang Korea sa Covid? Kasi maraming aspekto ng lipunang Koreano ay nakalipat na sa new normal bago pa man maging new normal ito. Lalo na pagdating sa hanapbuhay. Wired na wired ang mga Koreano."

Plus, social engineering is easier to implement in our neighboring Asian countries of their attitude.

And, what sets the Philippines apart from our Asian neighbors.

Hahaha."

"Ano ang punto sa wakas?" Ybiernas asked.

Ybiernas said the critics asking for plan reeks of malice.

"MALISYOSO ANG PAGSASABI NG KONTRA GOBYERNO NA NANGHIHINGI SILA NG PLANO."

Ybiernas remarked the critics aren't really asking for a strategy.

"Hindi sila nanghihingi ng plano."

Ybiernas wrapped up his post by calling spade a spade.
