50,000 Pilipino ang Pinatay ng NPA Tapos Sabihin niyo na Hindi Kalaban? Casiño, Nakatikim ng Supalpal sa News Paper Columnist!
Naging kontrobersiyal ang testimonya ni former Bayan Muna Representative Teddy Casiño noong humaharap ito sa senate hearing ukol sa red-tagging. Sa kaniyang pahayag sa senado, walang pag-aalangan nitong sinabi na hindi nila itinuturing na kalaban ang Comunist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army (CPP-NPA).
“Hindi ho masasamang tao ang mga ito. Sila po ay kapwa Pilipino na nagnanais ng pagbabago… Sa halip po na kundinahin sila at ang kanilang pakikibaka, hindi ba mas mabuti na pakitunguhan o i-engage natin sila para sa paglutas sa suliranin ng ating bayan… Kaya napaka-importante sa amin ang peace talks…Bakit nga ba nagiging NPA ang ibang aktibista? Ito po ang simpleng sagot: Nasi nilang lunasan ang mga problema at hinaing ng ating mamamayan at marahil hindi na sila nasasapatan sa kayang ibigay ng ksalukuyang sistema,” kuda ni Casiño.
Ang boladas na ito ni Casiño ay agad sinopla ni former ambassador at Manila Times Columinist Rigoberto Tiglao. Ayon kay Tiglao, pumalo na sa higit 50,000 ang pinapatay ng mga rebeldeng komunista at patuloy pa rin ang ginagawang pagpatay ng mga ito. Para kay Tiglao, kasuklam-suklam ang naging pahayag ni Casiño at ni current Bayan Muna Representative Carlos Zarate.
“IT is so despicable, and the height of duplicity, for communist mouthpieces, present and former Bayan Muna representatives Carlos Zarate and Teodoro Casiño, to claim — even in the halls of Congress that is a pillar of our democracy — that the Communist Party of the Philippines and its New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) are not their nor the Filipinos’ enemies.
How could they have the gall to claim this when the CPP-NPA is responsible for over 50,000 military, police and civilian deaths; when in their official publications, they boast of ambushing and killing the Republic’s military and police; when even its “chairman emeritus” Jose Ma. Sison two years ago publicly asked the NPA to kill at least one soldier a day?” banat ni Tiglao.
