The wokes jumped into the conversation and use the opportunity to take a swipe at Filipinos who still think Martial Law wasn’t real. Or perhaps, the atrocities wasn’t taught enough in school.

This is echoed by another netizen.

Of course, not all netizens who commented on Lustre’s thread agreed with her. In fact, a netizen using the handle @alwaysThirsty pointed out to the Kapamilya actress the method used by Deped in teaching the subjects in schools.

This is seconded by @Cera_Rants.

Meanwhile on Facebook, Atty. Trixie of the Luminous can’t help but react to Lustre’s viral tweet criticizing how our children was taught history.

Like @alwaysThirsty, Atty. Trixie said that Lustre’s problem was that she did not understand the teaching method.

Atty. Trixie explained that the idea is to build up on what was learned in the previous years. Every year, new information are added.

This is not unique to History subject but in all subject areas.

Atty. Trixie can’t help but comment that perhaps the method wasn’t effective with Lustre and her teachers were less creative.

Sabi ni Nadine Lustre, six years of repeated history was a waste of time.

Problema di nya naiintindihan yung teaching method. You build up on what was learned in the previous years.

So may dinadagdag every year.

Hindi lang po ito sa pagturo ng Kasaysayan kundi lahat ng subjects.

Gayunaman, maybe the method wasn’t effective with Ms. Lustre and she was taught by less creative educators.

Reaction?
