Kung sakaling matuloy ito ay baka sumakit ang dibdib ng mga kritiko ng administrasyon.
Sa Commission on Election (COMELEC) Budget Hearing, tinanong ni Pampanga Representative Mikey Arroyo si COMELEC Chairman Shreriff Abas kung maaari ba ang ideya na huwag magsagawa ng halalan sa 2022 dahil umano sa takot ng ilang botante na dulot ng pandemiya.
“Because I’ve been hearing in my district, the businessmen, the old people, they’re saying maybe they would not just vote because they’re scred to vote during that day. That’s just food for thought Mr. Chair. The COMELEC may choose to answer that or not… I’ve been doing my share of reading about this pandemic and it seems that, assuming for the sake of argument that nothing goes wrong, the earliest that the vaccine will be available in our country for everybody, maybe September or October 2021,” sabi ni Congressman Arroyo.
Sagot ni COMELEC Chairman Abas, handa daw ang ahensiya na magsagawa ng eleksyon sa nasabing taon kahit na may banta ng covid-19.
Payag ba kayo sa ideya na inilutang ni Cong. Arroyo?
