Young film maker Darryl Yap has run to the defense of Direk Paul Soriano who is now the target of a cancel campaign on social media for supporting Bongbong Marcos aka BBM.

Yap was not surprised to find out the very people calling to cancel Direk Soriano are the same people from the showbiz industry who thinks they are the righteous ones and fights for a cause. Ironically, Yap these are the same people who never get far as far as their careers are concerned but a$$wiper$ of movie directors.

Yap went on to talk about the similarities between a heartbeat and the dictates of conscience, that votes and arts are not just the fruits of taste but they are shaped because of life’s experiences, connection, culture and identity – the people who are trying to judge you because you chose to exercise your right is no different from the monster the so-called righteous promise to slay.

Yap ended the FB post with a prayer asking God that if the times comes he has no more projects to keep him busy, to spare the fate of his colleagues in the industry who not only have no projects but also lose the value of respect.
