As a retired broadcaster, Jay Sonza is very disappointed, even angry at how his former colleagues in the local media industry are addressing two of the highest leaders in the country – Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte – the presumptive President and Vice President respectively.

In a Facebook post, Sonza lashed out at former colleagues in the local media industry after noting that our local TV personalities from big networks, newspaper reporters and editors are using unnecessary adjectives when mentioning the names of Marcos and Duterte while reporting on live TV or in their news articles.

Basically, Sonza urged his former colleagues to report properly. In addition, he also reminded his former colleagues the importance of showing respect to Duly Elected official when reporting.

Sonza was particularly annoyed by our TV personalities who make faces and roll their eyes while reporting. That attitude diminishes whatever respect and credibility left in them, said the retired broadcaster.

Dear Major TV personalities & Newspaper reporters & editors,

Umayos kayo ng pagbabalita ninyo. Nakakawala kayo ng respeto. Matoto kayong gumalang ng mga Duly Elected official (voted by over 30 million of your televiewers & readers).

That diminishes respect and credibility of what is left of it in you.
