“The Philippines is a little bit better off compared to others just because there were measures put in place pretty early on, so I’m thinking Indonesia which really didn’t put those measures in place and now it’s got a pretty staggering number of not only cases but deaths.
The Philippines, in the context of the financial market, is still doing quite well. We haven’t seen the impact of the Luzon shutdown yet. Right now, we are expecting the Philippines to grow by 4%.
“The Philippines, once most of this is over, will be able to recover at a much faster rate than many other ASEAN countries,” sabi ni Basu.
